Susan Marshall, LPC, CPCS
I am the founder and owner of The Center for Mindful Exploration, where my vision is to create a holistic environment that offers safe, sacred spaces for healing and growth. I believe that healing begins when we reconnect with our innate wholeness and learn to relate to ourselves, others, and the world with greater compassion and awareness.
As a person-centered therapist, I view therapy as a collaborative journey. I believe each person has an inherent capacity for healing, even when pain, trauma, or long-standing patterns make the path forward difficult to see. I integrate EMDR and mindfulness-based approaches to support insight, emotional healing, and lasting relational and behavioral change.
I hold a B.S. in Child and Human Development from the University of Georgia and an M.A. in Community Counseling from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS). I am an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDR Consultant-in-Training. I have advanced training in the Gottman Method for Couples (Levels 1 and 2), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and End-of-Life Doula care.
I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
Insurance: I accept TriCare and and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) referrals through the Pastoral Institute. All other services are self-pay, and superbills are available upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
