LaShannon Epps, LPC
I believe that every person has the capacity to grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their life. I also believe that healing happens best when we feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to be vulnerable, and connected enough to know that we do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone.
As a therapist, one of the things I value most is the connection I build with my clients. I want you to feel seen, heard, respected, and accepted for who you are, not judged by where you have been or defined by what you are currently experiencing. My role is to walk alongside you, offering compassion, encouragement, insight, and practical tools as you work toward the life you want.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults who may be struggling with trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, ADHD, anger, separation and divorce, and other life transitions. I understand that reaching out for counseling can sometimes feel difficult. Whether you are dealing with the effects of a painful experience, feeling overwhelmed by stress or anxiety, or simply recognize that something needs to change, taking that first step is an act of courage.
My therapeutic approach is individualized because no two people—and no two healing journeys—are exactly alike. I integrate Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Client-Centered Therapy to help clients better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and recognize the strengths they already possess.
I earned my B.A. in Psychology from LaGrange College and my M.S. in School Counseling from Troy State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Beyond techniques and treatment plans, I believe therapy is about relationship. It is about having a place where you can take a breath, make sense of what you have been carrying, and begin to move forward with greater confidence and hope. I feel privileged to be invited into that process and to witness the growth that can happen when people are given the support, tools, and space they need to heal.
If you are ready to take the next step, I would be honored to walk alongside you
Insurance: I am in-network with most major insurance plans and accept Amerigroup, Caresource and Peachstate and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) referrals through the Pastoral Institute. Self-pay options are also available.
