Beginning Mindfulness Meditation Class
Beginning Mindfulness Meditation
Learn the foundations of a lifelong practice.
Have you been curious about meditation but aren't sure where to begin? Maybe you've tried meditating on your own and found it difficult to stay consistent, quiet your mind, or know if you're "doing it right."
This four-week experiential course is designed for beginners and anyone looking to build or reconnect with a meaningful mindfulness practice. Together we'll explore what mindfulness is (and what it isn't), learn several meditation techniques, and discover practical ways to bring greater calm, clarity, and presence into everyday life.
Each weekly session combines discussion, guided meditation, opportunities for questions, and simple practices to use between classes. By the end of the course, you'll have the confidence and tools to create a meditation practice that works for your life.
In this class you'll learn:
What mindfulness and meditation really are
Why meditation benefits both the mind and body
How to work with distractions, thoughts, and difficult emotions
Several styles of mindfulness meditation
Simple ways to incorporate mindfulness into daily life
How to establish a sustainable home practice
No previous experience is necessary. This class is welcoming, supportive, and designed for complete beginners.
